🌤️ Joys of RVing: A Country Music Lover's Dream

Nashville is known as "Music City, USA" for a reason. It's home to some of the best country music in the world, and there's no better place to experience it than on a day trip from Cracker Barrel to the General Jackson Showboat and the Grand Ole Opry.

We parked the RV at Two Rivers Campground in Nashville. A family-owned and operated campground located just two miles north of Opryland and the newest, most exciting shopping experience of this century, Opry Mills. The campground offers a variety of amenities, including full hookups, free WiFi, a swimming pool, a playground, and a game room. There is also a store on-site that sells groceries, souvenirs, and RV supplies.

Also camping with us were Ms. Barbara's sister, Sue and our brother-in-law, Bob. Our day started off with a hearty breakfast at Cracker Barrel. After breakfast, we headed to the General Jackson Showboat on the banks of the Cumberland River.

The General Jackson Showboat is a three-hour dinner cruise that took us seven miles down the river into the heart of Music City and back again. Along the way, we enjoy a delicious buffet dinner, live music, and a comedy show. We had a great time on the cruise and headed back the the RV park for an afternoon nap in preparation for the epic country music evening ahead.

Well rested, we headed to the Grand Ole Opry House. The Opry is a world-famous live music show that has been running for over 90 years on radio 650 AM, WSM. We were lucky enough to get tickets to see some of our favorite country music artists perform. We saw Opry stars Jeannie Seely, "Whispering" Bill Anderson, Lukas Nelson, Lainey Wilson, The Oak Ridge Boys, Josh Turner and Carrie Underwood! The matinee was amazing and we had a great time singing along.

In light of the fact that we never leave the RV without our camera, we invite you to take a look at the YouTube video of our amazing day in Nashville, Tennessee!

From live music to delicious food to vibrant culture, there's something for everyone in Nashville. So put on your dancing shoes, grab a bite to eat, and get ready to have some fun! Ms. Barbara and I highly recommend it to any country music lover. It was a day we'll never forget!
