Man Transforms Jet Engine into RV

Steve Jones, a stay-at-home dad from Lancashire, England, has transformed a jet engine from a Vickers VC-10 into a camper trailer for his family. Jones, who previously worked as a technician for the Royal Air Force, spent over 1,000 hours over the course of three months converting the engine shell into a trailer that he, his wife, and two sons can take on road trips.

The "VC10 Caravan Pod" is 13 feet long and comes with two doors plus a skylight. It has a kitchenette with a stove, sink, and fridge, as well as a sleeping area for four people. The trailer also has a water tank and a waste tank, making it self-contained for short trips.

Jones says that he was inspired to build the trailer after seeing a similar project online. He wanted to create a unique and memorable camper for his family, and he believes that the jet engine trailer is sure to turn heads on the highway.

The trailer has already been featured in several publications, and Jones has received a lot of positive feedback from people who have seen it. He says that he is happy with the way the project turned out, and he is excited to take it on road trips with his family.
