🔎 RV Review: Auto Museum Harvest Host

If you're an RVer looking for a unique and educational place to stay, look no further than the Tallahassee Automobile Museum. This Harvest Host location offers RVers a chance to camp overnight in the museum's parking lot, and stroll through a collection of over 160 automobiles.

It is a must-visit for any car enthusiast or history buff. The museum's collection ranges from early gas combustion cars to modern muscle cars. It also includes a number of rare and unique cars, such as the 1860 horse-drawn funeral hearse reported to have carried Abraham Lincoln. But if cars aren't your thing, the Tallahassee Automobile Museum has thousands of other collections, from dolls to outboard motors, baseball cards to golf clubs, and motorcycles to musical instruments.

The museum is located in Tallahassee, Florida, just off I-10, and is housed in a two-story building that was constructed in 1996. The building is designed to resemble a classic car dealership, and it features a large showroom, a gift shop, and a theater. The museum's collection is divided into several different exhibits.

  • The American Dream: This exhibit features a collection of classic American cars, from the Model T to the Corvette.

  • The Batmobile Collection: This exhibit features three Batmobiles, including the original cars used in the movies Batman Returns and Batman Forever.

  • The Abraham Lincoln Collection: This exhibit features a number of cars that were owned or used by Abraham Lincoln, including the horse-drawn funeral hearse.

  • The Exotic Car Collection: This exhibit features a collection of high-performance cars, from Ferraris to Lamborghinis.

It's a very nice Harvest Host stop, as well. We have stayed several times and always enjoyed ourselves. It is very RV friendly with a dump station, a water spigot, a picnic area and free Wi-Fi. There is plenty of shade trees to park under, but also a lot of open areas to accommodate your satellite TV or Starlink connection. Dog friendly, too.

The Tallahassee Automobile Museum is a great place to learn about the history of the automobile, and to see some of the most iconic cars ever made. It's also a great place to meet other RVers and make new friends.
